Today was our second full day in California and we were in for a magical time!
We were slightly behind with our rope drop enthusiasm to Disneyland Park, but we made up for our sleepy morning in no time.
At Disneyland Park we were once again ride focused and used our purchased Lightning Lane Passes to get us back on track. Throughout our day we accomplished the following attractions: Alice in Wonderland, Autopia, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Disneyland Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones Adventure, It’s A Small World, Jungle Cruise, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Matterhorn Bobsleds*, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, Pirates of the Caribbean, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, and Space Mountain. The ride with an asterisk is one that the group went on without me as I did not wish to participate. While I enjoyed all of the rides, some of the ones that stood out the most were Alice in Wonderland, Haunted Mansion, and Indiana Jones Adventure.
Aside from rides, we dined, shopped, and took a multitude of photos. I had the Alien Macaroooooon (filled with berries and cream) from Alien Pizza Planet for $8.79. This was a large dessert that I took to go and ate over two days. I had the Caesar Wrap (lavash wrap with romaine, kale, pepitas, white beans, crunchy corn kernels, cotija cheese, and Mexican Caesar pepita dressing) from Stage Door Cafe for $11.29. This was fine but I ordered it without fully reading what it was, and I was expecting a chicken Caesar wrap. I also had the Kids’ Chicken & Veggie Rice Bowl (steamed rice topped with apricot-marinated chicken and roasted vegetables served with a Cuties mandarin and small water) at Galactic Grill for $8.49. This meal was perfect to settle my stomach as I was starting to feel a bit sick from the long day.
We stayed for the nighttime parade; Paint the Night and we had so much fun watching all the vibrant floats and characters. We ended our night shortly after, just before close. We then drove to Hannah’s house for a late-night sleepover. On our way to Hannah’s, we stopped for a much-needed snack at In-N-Out Burger. Once at Hannah’s we settled in and went straight to sleep as the wedding preparations were just hours away.
