Today was Hannah and Shane’s big day! The villa group ate a delicious breakfast (bacon, eggs, fruit, hashbrowns, and toast) prepared by our chef, then the girls gathered all of their necessities (hair tools, makeup, shoes, dress, etc.) and were driven to the venue's bridal suite. Our getting ready morning was fun and relaxed as we helped each other with hair and makeup. We had lunch prepared for us (croissant sandwiches) along with some snacks that we brought (hummus/pesto platter) and champagne. Before we knew it, we were zipping up our dresses, putting on our shoes, and doing a final hair and makeup check. The bridesmaids moved to another building where we could view the pre-wedding reception and sip on bubbly. Shortly after, it was time to head over to the ceremony. The ceremony was breathtaking with beautiful florals and sweet vows. Hannah looked like a goddess and the exchange was just the right amount of time. Our girl was officially married and now it was time to party! Well, we had to take photos first but then came the celebrations. At the reception we ate (Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, rolls, salmon, and steak - everything was delicious), drank, danced, and were merry. The bridesmaids had one final surprise up our sleeves as we all disappeared with the bride and reappeared dressed in blow up unicorn costumes. We danced to the Wobble, and the guests loved it. Everything about the wedding was amazing from the happy couple to the friends and family, to the food, staff, and venue - it was perfect.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and we headed back to the villa. At the villa, Avery and I changed, then headed back out with some of the others to continue the wedding celebrations off site at a groomsman’s house. The post party celebrations were chill, fun, and included a large group order of McDonalds. Eventually exhaustion took its hold, and we headed back for our final sleep at the villa.
