Today I had my very first ever Cast Preview! It was also my first time visiting Hollywood Studios as a Cast Member. I went with my roomates Kayla and Hannah. For the preview we had to put our phones into sealed bags before we could go on the ride. We walked so quickly through the line queue that I did not get the time to appreciate the beauty of it. I am not complaining though since we were on the ride in less than five minutes. I really loved the preshow for this ride and it got me even more excited to try it out. Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railroad is an adorable ride, great for whole family fun. If I could, I would have rode it a second time! I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to preview a brand new ride before its public release.
Following our preview we mainly just walked around and took in the views of the park. We did not go on many rides because the wait times were very long. We did go to the Muppets 3D show and then had lunch at PizzeRizzo which is where our last roommate, Katie, worked at. Being able to say hi to Katie at work brightened the day up for all of us .
We were able to meet Edna Mode which is Hannah's favorite character. She was fabulous! We also saw Mr. Incredible running around outside of Edna's meeting spot. In Toy Story Land, we saw characters such as Woody, Jesse, and the Green Army Men. In the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge we saw Stormtroopers walking around trying to create order.
My favorite part of the day besides the preview was going to Oga's Cantina. I had three drinks and my first one was the Fuzzy Tauntaun (I highly recommend having this as your first drink here). Unfortunately, I forgot the names of the other two drinks but they were just as tasty and fun. The experience was well worth the price and we had a great bartender who continuously made us laugh. It was crowded in the Cantina but the atmosphere was out of this world. This is a fun spot for everyone in the family as they have great non alcoholic drink options as well!
We were planning on staying for the night time fireworks and show but decided about half way through the day that we were too tired to stay. We took the Skyliner to the Art of Animation (where Hannah worked) and an Uber home from there. I enjoyed taking the Skyliner for the first time (it was manageable, even with my fear of heights). The Art of Animation was a cute and fun resort and I definitely see why it is a popular location to stay at, especially for families!
